On November 19, 2007, Who’s Who Publishing celebrated the unveiling of the second edition of Who’s Who In Black Detroit at the fabulous Detroit Marriott. Some of the city’s most influential business leaders, doctors, attorneys, spiritual leaders and media professionals were in attendance. The program featured a special tribute to living legends Mom and Pop Winans; Congressman John Conyers (D-Mich.); and Michigan Chronicle publisher, Sam Logan.

“The importance of this event is to bridge the gap between the elderly living legends and the youth here that represent the city of Detroit,” explained Orena Perry, a sales executive for Who’s Who Publishing. –janaya black
