fabulosity comes to JCPenney

fashion forward

Kimora Lee Simmons, president of the ubiqutious Baby Phat clothing line, didn’t just coin the term  “fabulosity,” for her latest book and new perfume — she embodies it. Now the fashion diva has created a glamorous new clothing line just for young women. Fabulosity is a collection for juniors sold exclusively at JCPenney stores and online at jcp.com. “We are bringing style and designer aesthetics [at a lower cost], than is available at other department stores at a much higher price,” states John Pighe, JCPenney’s divisional merchandise manager for juniors.

“Kimora was a perfect selection for JCPenney to partner with. She was very engaged in every step of the process,” adds Pighe. The result is a collection that celebrates confidence and individuality for the teen who craves a fashion forward wardrobe. The reasonably priced collection, which was launched in conjunction with the back-to-school shopping season, features everything from high-waist jeans and knit tops to outerwear.

“Fabulosity is all about gorgeous, versatile fashion for young women as they break out the books this fall. My apparel collection provides a boost of self-confidence to live your dream and work [toward] whatever you want to be,” says Simmons. –roz edward and sholayide otugalu
