Take a break from the action and have lunch while taking in the beauteous Lake Michigan from the tip-top of the John Hancock Center.

Las Vegas Boulevard (The Strip) – Las Vegas

Shopping on The Strip is not for the faint of heart or light of checkbook. If you’re rocking a Black Card, The Strip is your oyster, otherwise you’d better hope you hit big at the slots or you’ll just have to settle for window wishing. Shop Ann Taylor, Versace, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton and Lalique at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Bourbon Street – New Orleans

New Orleans is renowned around the world for jazz music, and jazz is at the heart of this street in the middle of the French Quarter. Bourbon Street’s well-deserved ribald reputation during Mardi Gras gives way to a calmer atmosphere the rest of the year. From the swanky hotels and restaurants offering mouth-watering Creole cuisine, to the clubs featuring live jazz and zydeco music, Bourbon Street offers a cornucopia of mean beats and hot treats. Beale Street – Memphis, Tenn.

Beale Street is the home of the blues and the mother of rock ‘n’ roll. Stop in at B.B. King’s Blues Club and you just might catch the legend ensconced onstage caressing his beloved Lucille (his guitar). If the King’s not in town you can dance the night away to music from Memphis’ hottest musicians. You’ll also find some of the tastiest barbecue in the country on this historic street. Check out the ribs, catfish and steak at Blues City Café, they’re open till the wee hours and the portions are ginormous.

A Little Bit of Everything Peachtree Street – Atlanta

Peachtree Street winds from downtown Atlanta to the ‘burbs and offers a variety of gastronomic (Gladys Knight and Ron Winans’ Chicken & Waffles); shopping (Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza); and night life options (D’Jango, Verve). On a clear day, you can dine in the revolving restaurant atop the Peachtree Plaza Hotel and enjoy a 360-degree vista of the city.
