Gorgeous women, celebrities, fashion veterans, and innovative swimwear designers from around the world converged at the Raleigh Hotel on South Beach for the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. The five-day event coincided with the Miami Swimwear show and allowed style experts to get a sneak peek at swimwear collections that will be made available to the public in the next two to three years.

The 2008 Fashion Week Swim kicked off with Diesel’s prep school-inspired runway show and after party. The weekend also featured runway shows from brands such as Ed Hardy, Pistol Panties, Luli Fama, Poko Carter, SYLA, ViX, Custo Barcelona and ANK. Notable celebrities taking part in Fashion Week included Craig David, Dennis Rodman, DJ Clue, Meagan Good and Thomas Jones.

“The models are beautiful, the swimsuits are super stylish, and it just doesn’t get better than this,” Meagan Good said. “Miami has always been one of my favorite places to visit. This week gives me an excuse to wear a swimsuit. The weather is great and everyone is here to have a good time.” –amir shaw
