Size Sexy Divas prides itself on being an organization for ‘beautiful, confident, successful women’ who love themselves inside and out. Founded by Houston native Latrecia Antwine to empower all women, the Divas are focused on the physical mental, spiritual and financial health of today’s plus-sized woman. “I figured once I got my confidence, I wanted to share it with other ladies,” explains Antwine. “This is what we’re about.” Antwine and the Divas have been spreading the word about the organization and are positioned to explode onto the scene in Houston.

The divas held their first major event at the Houston Power Center, hosting an HIV/AIDS benefit to share information regarding awareness and prevention, and showcasing talents like vocalist Yuneek and others. “Tonight is an HIV/AIDS benefit, so we’re doing this to help make the community aware — and it’s also a coming out show for us.” The ladies strutted their stuff in a flamboyant fashion show while patrons enjoyed the sights and sounds, and the community learned a little more about how to stop the spread of this disease.
