What started in 1937 as a 3.2-mile beach and road race known as the Daytona 200, has blossomed into the world’s largest motorcycle event — Daytona Beach Bike Week. This year, hundreds of thousands of riders and enthusiasts descended upon Volusia County, enjoying various races, concerts, bike shows and good old-fashioned joyrides throughout the city. Fueled by corporate sponsors Harley-Davidson, Progressive Insurance and Budweiser, the 10-day event showcased a plethora of two-wheel eye candy and bellowing mufflers that could be heard from any point in the quaint Florida beach town.
