Two nights before the biggest stars in music were honored at the 50th Grammy Awards, super-producer Jermaine Dupri called on a few of his celebrity friends to help him kick off the festive weekend at Central Hollywood Lounge. Sponsored by Courvoisier, attendees at the star-studded event included Kim Kardashian, Fat Joe, David Banner, Lamman Rucker and Ne-Yo. Dupri, who was recently appointed president of Island Records, arrived shortly before midnight with girlfriend Janet Jackson.

Dupri gave ro the inside scope on how to throw a hot party. “You want to make the party as wild as it can be,” he stated while walking the red carpet. “First of all, you have to have an open bar so that everyone is enjoying themselves. A party like this is just about fun, happiness and love. We’re blessed to be doing what we do as musicians, so this is our way of giving some of the love back.” –amir shaw
