christians having fun – kingdom hair & fashion show
shoulda been there

The Gospel Connection and Harvest Entertainment presented the Kingdom Hair and Fashion Show at Detroit’s Greater Grace Temple on Dec. 30, 2007. The dressy affair demonstrated that the gospel world continues to be stylish and trendsetting. Bishop Charles Ellis was on hand to welcome guests with the opening prayer. The event was hosted by Cool C and Tanya Davis. The show’s highlights included performances by comedian Rev. Deacon Doctor Cleodis and gospel saxophonist Monte Jefferson and a testimonial from Apostle Clarence Langston. Fashions were provided by Van Dyke’s, The Broadway, Silver Fox Furs, Unique Lady, Anna’s Uniform and Ashley Stewart. Little Willie, Sonya M of Salon Hype Hair and the Val Austin Hall of Perfect Solutions Salon were among the featured stylists.

The event’s objective was for Christians to have fun and be safe. CEO of Harvest Entertainment and organizer Tanya Davis said, “One of the reasons we designed the event is so Christians can have an event for the New Year ... so we can stay in our lane and still be in a Christian atmosphere. We still wanted to be able to minister to the people and still give God the glory.” –tiffany d. tilley
