our mission

rolling out UrbanStyle Weekly has quickly become the new voice of the African American community. With our innovative approach to integrating engaging entertainment features with equally alluring and informative business profiles, rolling out is documenting the present successes and triumphs of our community, by building on the accomplishments of past African Americans. Not satisfied with merely witnessing the rebirth of Urban America, we are actively involved in the transformation, by shaping and perpetuating the continuity of our culture.

originality is priority

rolling out is dedicated to delivering thought provoking, original content and photography. Our commitment to distinction is evident in our insistence on using exclusive subject matter and equally unique photography. We decline to recycle press releases, and relish in our devotion to integrity and presenting African Americans in the best light. The value of originality is evident in our depiction of local successes (Business Profiles), and the revered feats of celebrity (Spotlights). Moreover, original content captures our constantly evolving history, and creates opportunities. Never in the history of African Americans has there been a vehicle to both localize and nationalize content and advertising to urban America. We are equipping black Americans with instructions on how to live and paradigms of what they can aspire to be.
