It's basketball season once again, and you know what that means. It's time to decide who's gonna' get your hard-earned dollars - NBA 2K8 or NBA Live 08. It's the never ending debate that rages on and on every year. Which game has the best graphics? Which game has the best sound effects? With new games costing 60 bucks, I can understand all of these questions, but I'm going to simplify things for you.

Forget about graphics, sound and all that stuff. Most sport video games today all look pretty good. So what should the deciding factor be? Simply, which game is the most fun to play. Using this criteria, NBA 2K8 wins hands down. Excellent AI challenges you everywhere you turn. Leave the lane unprotected and you'll get burned. Star players perform just like their real-life counterparts. Additional features include a slam dunk contest and a co-op mode option that lets two users play on the same team against the AI.

It's easy to see that this is the game you'll be coming back to again and again. If you're into management, the Association is the deepest career mode in any basketball video game. Here you can be the general manager, signing free agents, hiring coaches or finding new talent in the draft. All of those options at your fingertips make this the most realistic basketball game on the market. Oh, the graphics just happen to be awesome too. dark abyss –dark abyss
