I happened to be at a house party this past weekend, and my buddy kept trying to convince me to take a shot. “Hey, it’s your birthday man,” he intoned. “You need to let loose and just have a good time.” I normally don’t succumb to peer pressure, but in that moment, I decided to go with the flow. But instead of imbibing traditional shots, we indulged in specialty shots. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, here’s what we were working with. dewayne rogers

Five Best Friends

Ingredients:
Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Whiskey
Jagermeister® Herbal Liqueur
Johnnie Walker® Scotch Whisky
Jim Beam® Bourbon Whiskey

Quantities for one drink:
1/5 ounce Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Whiskey
1/5 ounce Jagermeister® Herbal Liqueur
1/5 ounce Johnnie Walker® Scotch Whiskey
1/5 ounce Jim Beam® Bourbon Whiskey
1/5 ounce Jose Cuervo® Especial Gold Tequila

Blending Instructions:
Combine ingredients in a shot glass, and serve.

151 Proof Rum
Grey Goose® Vodka
Wild Turkey® Bourbon Whiskey

Quantities for one drink:
1/3 ounce 151 Proof Rum
1/3 ounce Grey Goose® Vodka
1/3 ounce Wild Turkey® Bourbon Whiskey

Blending Instructions:
Stir ingredients together in a shot glass, and shoot.

A Short Southern Screw

Ingredients:
Southern Comfort® Peach Liqueur
Stolichnaya® Vodka
Grey Goose® L’Orange Vodka

Quantities for one drink:
1/2 ounce Southern Comfort® Peach Liqueur
1/2 ounce Stolichnaya® Vodka
1 Splash Grey Goose® L’Orange Vodka

Blending Instructions:
Fill a shot glass half full of Southern Comfort, then fill the rest of the way with chilled Stoli, leaving a smidgen of room at the top. Top off with a splash of Grey Goose.
