dark sector

Publisher: D3 Publisher
Genre: Shooter/Action
Platform:Playstation 3

Dark Sector is a third-person, shooter-action game with an emphasis on fun. You can pop the game in and jump right in and start playing. No complex controls or button combos to get in the way here, folks. Just point and shoot the bad guys. Set in the not-too-distant future, you play Hayden Tenno, a CIA agent. While on a mission, Tenno is exposed to a deadly biological compound that causes his body to change, giving him super cool powers. The best mutant form is the glaive, a three-pronged boomeranglike weapon that returns when thrown. In the movies, Blade uses a similar weapon against vampires, however, this glaive is more versatile and more fun, since you get to control it. You can control the direction of the glaive using the Sixaxis feature in the PS3 controller to maim and dismember multiple enemies. The mood of the game is dark and eerie, as it should be. I was especially impressed with the graphics of the game. Dark Sector supports 720p and looks great in HD. Check out the detail in Hayden’s stealth suit at the beginning of the game and as he undergoes changes throughout the game. Everything is kind of photo-realistic. The cool multiplayer modes, “Infection” and “Epidemic,” allow for team-based matches, and a gang feature where up to nine players are pitted against a fully powered, glaive-wielding Hayden. A sound recommendation for action fansdark abyss
