No need to read between the lines for a deeper hidden meaning in the title of this column, it is meant to be taken literally. For years, the battle for Western supremacy has been waged by carmakers. And while the scales periodically tilt to favor one particular brand, 2008 appears to be shaping up to be a year in which the battle will be fierce, but the cream will always rise to the top. So let’s take a look at some of the American made cars that have bolstered their manufacturers to lobby for their rightful place as king(s) of the hill.

2008 Buick Enclave
