Rap Artists, Supply & Demand

The day that Playaz Circle recorded "Duffle Bag Boy," they knew that their lives would never be the same. Produced by Alabama native M-16, the track features church organs and classical piano riffs that blend perfectly with thunderous tom-toms. Once Lil Wayne added an infectious hook, "Duffle Bag Boy" became the surprise hit of the summer. With the release of their debut album, Supply & Demand, Tity Boi and Dolla Boy are banking on having the best musical product in the streets.

"We've been working on this album for a minute," Tity Boi says. "It's a creative street album that will make a lot of people pay attention."

Signed to Disturbing Tha Peace, the duo's bond extends beyond rap. "We've known each other forever," Tity Boi says. "We grew up together in College Park and put our own CD out in 1997. During that time, we met Ludacris and we joined the DTP family."

With the success of "Duffle Bag Boy," Playaz Circle has received national acclaim and could become bona fide stars in hip-hop if the album does well. Achievement has not caused the duo to forget where they come from, however. "I want people to say that we looked out for our folks," Dolla Boy says. "We're all about uplifting our people out of poverty by putting them into a good situation and environment, that's what we're here for. We've done what we had to do in the streets, now it's time for us to give back." -amir shaw
