Ricardo Flo and Ty Scott, known as the singing duo Platinum Souls, are saving a generation through music. The duo reaches thousands of individuals through their gripping messages of salvation. The 2008 release date for their latest album promises to continue the spiritual healing for their listeners. "A lot of people doing hip-hop aren't saying things that will uplift your spirits," Flo explains. "I'm showing people that there is more to life than making negative music. We feel that we should give people something that they need." Platinum Souls has released seven mixtapes and a DVD entitled Hustlin 4 Souls. The group's new single, "They Don't Know," is featured on their upcoming album, Hybrid.

"We're excited about the new project," says Scott. "We're getting spins all over the country and in places [like] Amsterdam, Canada and the UK."

While hip-hop remains under attack from those who disagree with some the genre's vulgar content, Platinum Souls makes an alternative statement. Scott confides, "We're in the world, but not of the world; we're bringing in a new breed of hip-hop and poetry." - amir shaw
