As his legal team approached the Judge's desk before escorting their client to the court's registry to pay his $3 million bond, Clifford Harris Jr., grilled his prosecution as if sizing up a contender in prize fight. U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan J. Baverman released Harris, much to the chagrin of the U.S. Attorney's office and he will now be confined to his estate until the date of the trial.

At last week's hearing, Harris posted the $2 million cash bond as well as $1million in the equity of his real estate properties. With his immediate family and slew of supporters both inside and outside of the court room, Harris was also introduced to Robert H. McMichael II, a former U.S. Marshall who will be the live-in monitor accompanying Harris 24/7 until his trial.

Before Harris made his way to the Richard B. Russell Federal Building steps where he was mobbed by a several fans and supporters Judge Baverman warned against any such violation of Harris's bond.

"You have an excellent team, maybe the best in the world," he said, citing that any violation would be stupid for a defendant armed with what several media outlets are calling the "Dream Team," of Dwight Thomas, Ed Garland, Steve Sadow and Don Samuel. Baverman was quick to remark that if Harris made any violation to his bond, "A number of very bad things will happen."

After the hearing, the defense team provided no insight into their game-plan leading up to the trial, but offered that more information will be revealed at a status conference for the case, slated for Monday, November 5th.
