No eye could resist Kimberly Goldson's gravitational pull. As the designer diva walked down the streets of Midtown Manhattan, she was poetry in motion, a portrait of enchanting splendor wrapped inside her exceptionally captivating dress. The New York native and former Fashion Institute of Technology student returned to the big city for Fashion Week to promote her Yv'ne G fashion line.

"My style is a little out the box. I don't like matching head to toe. I like mixing it up with different textures, different colors and patterns. It's sexy, sensual and confident," she says, flashing a halogen grin that made the room a little brighter. "The Yv'ne G woman knows that people are going to stare; she loves it, and she's comfortable in her own skin. She really doesn't care what other people have to say about her. She knows she looks good. She walks with her head held high, and she's usually going to be the center of [attention]."

Dedicated to her late mother, Yvonne Anne Goldson, Yv'ne G fashion pieces have personality and star power. Those wearing Yv'ne G will be accustomed to admiring eyes.

"The style of woman in the Yv'ne G line is a woman similar to me - she's confident, but she's very friendly. She thinks everyone is beautiful in their own right," Goldson says. "She exudes opulence, luxury. You're not sure where she's from; she could be from Hollywood. You don't know how much money she has in the bank; you automatically think she has money. She's a distinct woman, and lovely." - terry shropshire
