regina
taylor - the consummate professional
Never let it be said that Regina Taylor is devoid of the tools necessary to be considered a complete entertainer. In fact, the actress-playwright has long been one of Hollywood’s most underappreciated talents. Today, as the leading lady of the CBS hit series “The Unit,” Taylor continues to lead the charge of a powerful cadre of black women unafraid to grab their careers by the reigns, ultimately conquering the unthinkable in Hollywood.
From Taylor’s view, another story also hints of the unthinkable coming to pass. “I was watching the Democratic National Convention the other day, and how Barack Obama was presenting himself, and I was so moved,” she shares. “I never thought that I would see such a thing in my lifetime.”
Based on her legendary heartfelt performances, Taylor knows a thing or two about powerful moments. “I pour all of me into my work,” she says with a laugh. “There’s no need to hold anything back. Once you give your all, and do your best, then the rest is destined to fall into place.” –dewayne rogers
