While the rest of the world sleeps, Necole Bitchie sits at her computer blogging. As the founder and creative force behind Necole Bitchie.com, one of the nation's fastest growing celebrity gossip sites, the Maryland-born, Atlanta transplant has made a name for herself in the world of entertainment.
From the latest celebrity parties to Kanye's recent foray into the world of white women, Bitchie is always 10 steps ahead of the competition, but says it's her pledging to separate fact from fiction that makes her site unique.
"The difference with me and the Bossips and stuff like that is I take full responsibility for what I write," says Bitchie, who calls Perez Hilton an inspiration and refers to him as the "Oprah of blogging." "There are a lot of sites out there where you don't know who's writing [the content] and they're throwing stones at people behind a computer screen and they never put themselves out there."
Indeed, Bitchie has been praised for her personable approach to blogging and sharing her experiences with her audience. "See, I'm an open book and people really appreciate that," she says. "It's like my readers are my friends - they feel that way, they feel like they're part of my life."
Bitchie hopes to one day see the numbers like the $20 million Perez Hilton received in advertising dollars last year, but for now she's happy with just having a place to be herself. "At the end of the day it's like I created a voice myself," she says.
