Native Louisianan Tracy Randall traded a calling in electrical engineering for a path leading to this work of R&B mixed with gospel and rap elements. Songs like “Only Takes the Best” and “All or Nothing” feel slightly majestic, as if inspired by a divine muse. Many of Randall’s songs unfold with a likeability requiring some patience. In this way, Sinners Have Souls Too offers a musical balance between commerciality and integrity, and as a result is rewarding without pandering to the listener. –gavin philip godfrey
