In explaining the title of his debut album in a letter to his listeners, Maryland native rnb, says that “A waiting area is often referred to as ‘The Green Room.’ Come and experience my wait and what it’s worth.” In the age of “American Idol” and the myriad of manufactured singers, one should be willing to spend a little quality time with a true songwriter and musician, especially one whose sound is reminiscent of the soul crooner Bilal (by the way, has anybody seen him?). From the heart-grooving “Get Down,” to the more upbeat jams like “Baby” and “Spontaneous,” this newcomer proves he will be around for a long time. -gavin p. godfrey
