Ann Nesby, formerly the lead vocalist for the 30-piece gospel choir Sounds of Blackness, has settled into a nice groove at the Shanachie music label. Her latest release, This Is Love, finds Nesby singing in her comfort zone - 90 percent of her vocals find her "going for hers" with a controlled wail. With that being said, This Is Love delivers accomplished and eclectic R&B. -forrest green III
