Actress

Tangi Miller is like a comet that burns brightly before the cameras - and behind the scenes. Miller quickly found success in becoming a regular on the set of WB series "Felicity," and then guest-starring in "The Division" and "Half and Half." Her latest project, and third film, is the romantic comedy Love ... & Other 4 Letter Words. Miller, who produced and starred in the film, plays Stormy LaRue, a Chicago talk-show host who has everything - a Gold Coast apartment, a successful career and a close-knit family. The only thing missing is a love interest. After her beloved grandmother (Aloma Wright) falls ill, Stormy flies to Alabama to tend to her "last wish" - for her to get married. Soon, her life spirals out of control because she makes up a story filled with a wedding dress, guests, flowers, and groom to boot. Flex Alexander, Essence Atkins and Marcus Patrick co-star.

Shot on location in Chicago and Alabama, the film is a part of Black Harvest Festival. "I chose this film festival because it is a festival that promotes African American artists, filmmakers, and the like. I wanted to go directly to the audience. So having done a film in Chicago, Black Harvest rated No. 1 on our list," says the talented thespian.

Miller said she turned to filmmaking because she was frustrated with the roles she was offered. Miller has found that actors are more than willing to work under scale if they are provided a quality script that has positive images of our people. -tony binns
