Sakai, the talented diva with the exotic-sounding name, has sung with a number of musical legends. But on her second album, she fuses a variety of genres to form her own brand of neosoul. The work kicks off with fresh jams bolstered by her more than competent voice. The magic doesn't last, however, as affairs grow formulaic. Lyrically, the most interesting cut is "Tired," which boasts lines such as, "Don't mind being your shorty, your girl, your boo ... see what I'm looking for is for you to be my equal."
