While the general sentiment is that this album is shadowed by the Re-Up Gang’s outstanding mixtape series, We Got it For Cheap, Clipse Presents: Re-Up Gang is still one of the better releases of the summer. Yes, some of the content is recycled and Malice, Pusha T and additional members, Liva and Sandman don’t stray away from the coke tales that made them famous, but their lyrics are sharp nevertheless. Anchored by solid production from Scott Storch on the busy single, “Fast Life,” and Sleepwalker on the mellow banger, “Emotionless,” Re-Up Gang shows they have the skills to consistently deliver.
