t.n. baker - evolution of a writer

Author, Sheisty, Still Sheisty, Dice

A young, intelligent woman sat in the back of her college preparatory class on the first day of the semester. The professor requested that students introduce themselves and share their occupations and hobbies. As the young lady stood up, she had her classmates' undivided attention as she said in a soft voice, "I am T.N. Baker and outside of work I love to write."

Although that may not be the exact dialogue used if a network eventually chooses to depict her life story on film, but that is the gist of the beginning of T.N. Baker's journey to success.

"I only had about 14 pages of my first book, Sheisty, completed. I didn't want my [professor] to read it because it was explicit and I didn't want him to judge me. He asked me every day until I finally gave it to him, and he loved it," she shares. The twists and turns in the plot of her novel left readers craving another ride on her literary roller coaster. She kept the adrenaline flowing with a follow-up book, Still Sheisty. "It might sound crazy, but it's like the characters talk to me, and I'm not one of those [people] who write with an outline. I just create the story as I go," she says. She is presently promoting her newest creative work, Dice, as the products of her imagination continue to explore new heights. "My first two books, Sheisty and Still Sheisty, are being turned into screenplays and that's exciting for me," she shares. "It's important for writers to write and not be afraid to share it because [they] could be sitting on a best seller." - jamana jamison
