I Did It for Love
The word "love" in this album's title is the most immediate tip-off to its contents. Writer, arranger and singer Brantley De'Angelo is obviously talented, but it seems that this fact has gone to his head. It sounds like business as usual in R&B world here. There's the Musiq Soulchild sound-alike cut "Just Friends" and evocative-of-romance music in the "True Love" interlude, leading to the oh-so-mellow title track . does anyone think critically about doing R&B anymore? -forrest green III
