Takisha Sturdivant might not quite be a household name, but chances are many have already seen the work of the world-renowned celebrity hair stylist on many of today's hottest stars. As owner of the Brooklyn salon Studio One and an exclusive stylist for Pantene, Sturdivant has an impressive track record that mirrors the quality and knowledge she has for her craft.

"Everybody's hair is different. Some people's hair is relaxed. Some people's hair is natural. Some people have weak spots like their hairline or the back of their hair, so everybody's hair is different," explains Sturdivant. A highly sought after stylist who has worked with the likes of Kerry Washington, Brandy and Deborah Cox, Sturdivant has also worked on sets for the Oscar nominated film Ray, She Hate Me, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Fantastic Four.

A New York native with 17 years styling experience, Sturdivant is an expert at helping women picking the best look for the next season. "There [are] so many different things going on for the fall; like clip-on extensions just to give you automatic length or some volume, and the asymmetrical look - Rhianna's wearing it - so a lot of girls see one person with it, then other people want to wear it as well," adds Sturdivant. -jason thompson
