Is it too early to refer to this group’s singer, Hilary Mwelwa, as a diva? Black Rose is the mellow third album for an act that’s described as having hip-hop, soul and acoustic elements. It mostly glides by like leaves in an autumn breeze. Still, Hil St. Soul should command respect in the R&B world, mostly by way of Mwelwa’s voice. -forrest green III
