“10 Items or Less” co-creator and improv actor John Lehr has an interesting method of getting shows made — he doesn’t show the cast the script. Lehr, co-creator Robert Hickey and director Nancy Hower have such a liking for spontaneous humor that they ask for totally improvised dialogue. The series revolves around a grocery store managed by Leslie Pool (Lehr), who returns to Ohio to run the place after his father’s death. A talented group of actors rounds out the cast.
