I’d be the first to admit that I really never have been a Kevin Sorbo fan, but I have to say that Avenging Angel has to be one of his better performances in a movie. Kevin Sorbo is the avenging angel simply known as “The Preacher,” a God-fearing individual forced to make some hard choices after his family and life are lost at the hands of a greedy land baron. Although you’ve probably seen this story line many times, watching Sorbo in a Western was kind of fun. His character gives him a chance to really act, something his other roles rarely let him do. Since this is a made for TV movie, there are several fade outs you have to deal with, but overall the movie provides some good acting and a surprisingly deep story. –dark abyss
