Carter Page’s (Woody Harrelson) life as a well-connected, gay Washington, D.C., man about town leaves him privy to the private lives of many influential Capitol Hill wives. Page is often the life of the party and cultivates close, personal friendships with many of his politically-aligned companions. But when his best friend, Lynn Lockner (Kristin Scott Thomas) asks him to cover up a murder, his loyalties — and cushy lifestyle — are put to the test. Carter agrees, and is immediately labeled a prime suspect in the case. A castoff in his pristine social circle, Page has no one but himself to rely on as he desperately tries to prove his innocence.
