From the African American husband and wife filmmaking team of H.M. and Camille Irons Coakley comes the campy slasher flick, Holla. Actress Monica St. John and six of her dearest friends are headed on a weekend escape to Camp Diamond Creek, a wooded retreat, for some rest and relaxation. En route to the getaway destination, the group spots Monica's friend, Troy, hitchhiking and decide to take him along. That night, a television news story implicates Troy in connection with a savage murder. Another friend vouches for Troy's innocence, but Monica's amigos inexplicably begin turning up dead. Writer Camille and director H.M., mix horror and humor cleverly, while providing a black perspective. -forrest green III
