Single and wishy-washy, Eddie Cantrow (Ben Stiller) lucks up when he starts dating the very sexy and seemingly fabulous Lila (Malin Akerman). With the urging of his father and best friend, Eddie proposes to her after only a week, fearing this may be his final chance at love, marriage and happiness. But on their honeymoon in Mexico, Lila reveals her terrible nature and Eddie meets Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), the woman he realizes to be his soul mate. Eddie has to hold his new, horrendous wife at bay as he tries to woo the girl of his dreams. This is a remake by the Farrelly brothers of the 1972 film by the same title. - forrest green III
