Erica Bain (Jodie Foster) is a prominent NYC radio host with a loving fiancé (Naveen Andrews). Her life is permanently altered when she and her lover are attacked, and he is killed. The police prove valueless to Erica's need to find closure, so she goes on a vigilante hunt to find the assailants. She seeks revenge upon the men who ruined her life. The beginning of this film might make you belt out, "Oh, snap! It's the dude from Grindhouse making it with the chick from Taxi Driver!" But the film's second half is about a person totally losing the self she was. From there, it takes on an astonishing resemblance to the 1974 revenge drama Death Wish. Foster is a great actress and imparts a lot to this thriller. -forrest green III
