Dubbed as I Know What You Did Last Summer with an urban twist, April Fools offers plenty of carnage and suspense for your typical whodunit slasher flick. A year after an April Fools' joke on the class nerd goes fatally wrong, the seven friends involved are targeted and picked off one by one by a masked killer wearing a black hoodie. As her buddies are predictably slaughtered, Missy, the film's rhyme-spitting heroine (yes, she spits a hot 16 in one sequence), tries to uncover the mystery of the knife-wielding psychopath without telling her detective father (Obba Babatunde) the truth about last April Fools' Day before its too late.
