Executive produced by and starring Queen Latifah as Anna Wallace, an HIV positive activist and Brooklynite, Life Support is a real tearjerker. In the film, Anna works tirelessly for Life Support, an HIV outreach program. A former drug addict, she turns her life around and is unyielding in her pursuit to educate her community about the importance of safe sex. Anna spends her days walking through the neighborhood encouraging people to get tested for HIV, to wear condoms, and better yet, to abstain from sex. Her courage and fervor are to be admired. Other celebrities on the project include Wendell Pierce, who plays Anna's husband Slick, and Evan Ross who plays Amare. Based on a true story, Life Support is directed by Nelson George and is now available in stores. - malibu jones
