Here's a perfectly unnecessary and regressive remake of the horror classic, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It's regressive because the evidence exists to show that remakes only detract from a movie's power. The 1956 original is downright eerie. The 1978 remake is a freaky imitation of that one. And this.. In this telling of the tale, a Washington, D.C., psychiatrist (Nicole Kidman) unearths the origin of the alien epidemic and learns that her son might be the only source of a cure. At least, Kidman is good in the film. The cast is rounded out by Daniel Craig, Jeffrey Wright, Veronica Cartwright, and would-be Renaissance man Q-Tip.
