Director Antoine Fuqua's (Training Day, Tears of the Sun) latest release, Shooter, comes to DVD. Mark Wahlberg stars as Bob Lee Swagger, a disillusioned former Marine recon sniper who gets recruited to serve his government one more time. As fate would have it, nothing much has changed in politics. Although Shooter was not the commercial success of his previous two films, this is a well made and entertaining movie. As he did in Tears of the Sun, Fuqua blends shoot-'em-up with African-conscious commentary in his story line.
