In this sequel, LAPD detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) and Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) travel to Paris to dismantle the organized crime family known as the Triads. The comedy is uproarious and steady this time around, provided through the chemistry of Tucker and Chan. The film's action is noteworthy too. Chan and Tucker's interaction seems to have improved with time, and director Brett Ratner's work benefits from a synergy of parts. What's also interesting are the appearances of actor Max Von Sydow and infamous-but-acclaimed director Roman Polanski in the movie. Apparently, the Rush Hour franchise has gained admiration in some far-out parts. – jason thompson
