Twentieth Century Fox
Over a decade in the making, this cinematic feature of America's wackiest cartoon family is an event in and of itself. Of course, the wait is hardly problematic, seeing that the most dysfunctional family on TV doesn't age. The movie's premise will be familiar to hard-core fans: Homer sets off a catastrophe that threatens the world and he has to save everyone from the disaster. Highlights include familiar characters with voiceovers provided by Kelsey Grammer, Joe Mantegna, Albert Brooks and Minnie Driver. "The Simpsons' " creator, Matt Groening, deservedly morphs into a world-renowned philosopher with this film. How about that? -forrest green III
