Host, BET's "Take the Cake"

Toccara Jones has presence. The voluptuous beauty is a sophisticated Midwesterner who seems as comfortable at a high-profile photo shoot as she would be at a family reunion. The “America’s Next Top Model” veteran has parlayed her stint on that particular show into a run on “Celebrity Fit Club” and most notably, a turn as co-host of BET’s newest game show, “Take the Cake.”

“It feels like it just happened yesterday,” laughs Jones heartily. “I was watching ‘… ‘Top Model’ — season five or six — and I realized I’ve been so blessed and so successful compared to other contestants that have been on the show.”

“Take the Cake” is a new interactive live game show that looks to be the new way for fans to play with the shows that they love.

“We play games and people text in if they know the answer and we give away money. It’s going to be fun,” explains Toccara. “My co-host is Joe Clair and he is hilarious! I’m so excited.”

After her eye-catching pictorials in King magazine, Black Men magazine and more, it’s fair to assume that Mr. Clair is pretty excited himself.

Toccara has made a career out of defying expectations and refusing to allow others to define her.

“When you know what it is you wanna do and [have] goals, nobody should tell you anything,” she says saucily. “Because I’ve always said you can’t let people put you in a box and you can’t listen to what everybody says.” - todd williams
