Summer's hottest drama "Army Wives" highlights the trials and tribulations, as well as the dreams of four women and one man who live with their spouses on an army post. Sworn to military secrecy, each one lives on the edge of sadness as their partner serves their country. Featuring a diverse cast, "Wives" black couple is a psychiatrist Roland (Sterling K. Brown, Brown Sugar) and Lt. Colonel Joan Burton (Wendy Davis, "High Incident"). Roland is faced with the tough role of reconnecting with his wife, who has returned from war in Afghanistan suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome. Mark Gordon ("Grey's Anatomy") serves as executive producer for the series based on Tanya Biank's book, Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives. -yvette caslin
