sangre de mi sangre
IFC Films
Pedro (Jorge Adrian Espindola) has a wish: to travel from Mexico to NYC so he can meet his father, Diego (Jesus Ochoa). In a course of action that’s bound to be provocative, Pedro smuggles himself into the Big Apple. But en route, Pedro becomes the victim of theft, losing all of his possessions to Juan (Armando Hernandez), who also steals his identity and plans to snatch Diego’s fortune. First-time writer-director Christopher Zalla spins a weighty tale about the lives of illegal immigrants surviving in the wilds of North America. If you’re looking for drama about characters making it in an alien environment, complete with fine acting performances, then this is for you.
