the chronicles of narnia: prince caspian
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
Here’s the adaptation of the second book in C. S. Lewis’ series The Chronicles of Narnia — a dense, fantastic, cinematic affair. This edition finds the Pevensie children — Edmund, Lucy, Peter and Susan (Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, William Moseley and Anna Popplewell) returning to Narnia, better late than never. Over 1,300 years have elapsed and all of the kids’ reference points are dead. Narnia is now ruled by King Miraz, an evil, loathsome character. The kids set out to overthrow Miraz, with the aid of the throne’s true heir, Prince Caspian, a heroic mouse and several exotic creatures. This is a remarkably detailed and visually extraordinary film, as well as a worthwhile take on the book it’s based upon.
