war dance
Think Films
Over the years, I’ve seen an amazing number of movies as well as a few documentaries along the way. While I haven’t seen every documentary out there, I will tell you this, “War Dance” is the most moving and powerful documentary I’ve ever seen. “War Dance” follows three young refugee children from war-torn Uganda as they prepare for Uganda’s dance competition. It is impossible not to be moved as each of the children tells their horrific stories of abuse at the hands of the rebels. You’ve seen the brutal violence in movies like “Blood Diamond,” but to hear it from children, who actually experienced it is heart wrenching. I’ve never really seen a movie such as this. It’s even more amazing to see how music has transformed these kids’ lives and has given them hope. Literally, everyone with a DVD player should watch this movie, if you have a heart you will be moved.
