VH1 Soul
It’s the 25th Anniversary of New Edition’s debut album Candy Girl. Boston natives and former teen heartthrobs Ralph, Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike are celebrating their silver anniversary. The weekend kicks off this Friday, April 25 with videos and a “Behind the Music” of the group. The final feature is a casual look at the life of Bobby Brown, who started his solo career in 1986 and rose to R&B stardom, which gave him the hutzpah to dub himself the King of R&B. This segment includes never-before-seen interviews of the pop prince.
