David Wilson is a 28-year-old black man from Newark, N.J., who is in complete control of his destiny. He has having navigated past the poverty and hardship of his background and into the realm of news production. Wilson does some research into his family history and uncovers information about a white family that owned his. He learns of a plantation owned by David Wilson, a 62-year-old white man from rural North Carolina, where his family lived in servitude. The black Wilson travels to meet the white Wilson in what becomes a classic tale of redemption. The documentary will air on MSNBC on April 11 at 9 p.m. –forrest green III
