drillbit taylor
Paramount Pictures
Here’s a worthwhile gem from two of the guys who are responsible for some of the more popular comedies of late: Seth Rogen (writer of Superbad) labored on the story and screenplay, and Judd Apatow (director of Knocked Up and producer of Superbad) served as its producer. Another writer on the story is Edmond Dantes, which is a pseudonym for John Hughes, writer-director of some of the eighties’ most enduring teen films. The story is simple: two kids, having had enough of the playground bully’s antagonism, hire a loony bodyguard, Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson) to protect them. Suffice it to say that the flick is as good for laughs as one might expect, and how could they go wrong with a title like Drillbit Taylor? forrest green III
