Allstate Insurance Company goes Hollywood, again. We have all grown to love actor Dennis Haysbert (“24”), the handsome, baritoned-voice Allstate spokesman. Well, now the insurance conglomerate has joined forces with the lovely cast of “Girlfriends” on the CW. On Sunday, March 9 they will rebroadcast the episode that features Maya (Golden Brooks) and her son Jabari (Kendre Berry) engaging in a frank discussion about the risks and responsibilities associated with teen driving. They speak specifically about Allstate’s Parent-Teen Driving Contract. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 13.4 percent of African American teens fail to wear seatbelts compared to 9.4 percent of Caucasian teens. –soul goddess
